How To Apply Credit Memos to Open Customer Invoices

  1. Click on Receive Payment

    In the main navigation menu, click on the A/R module, expand the "customer payment" option, and click on "receive payment".

  2. Start a New Session

    Select "start a new session", desired date and book period. Click "Next".

  3. Select Receipt Type

    Click on Application/Correction with no Cash Receipt and then click "Next".

  4. Find Customer

    Search for the customer either by invoice number, order number, or customer name. Then, click "Next".

  5. Click on Process

    Find the credit memo and click on "Process".

  6. Select Invoice

    Select the appropriate customer invoice to apply the credit memo against and then click "Next".

  7. Finalize Cash Receipt

    Review the cash receipt and finalize cash receipt by click "Next".

  8. Close Cash Receipt Journal
